Week One – 7th – 13th May 2011
New for May 2011 there will be a walk around the coastal path for partially sighted and blind people. The Eye Love Sight Appeal, is to bring awareness to sighted people, that whilst they are enjoying the beautiful views there are some who are unable to experience this, but it is hoped that with a research project currently being undertaken at Southampton Hospital using stem cells, the partially sighted may be able to appreciate these views in the not too distant future. All money raised through the Eye Love Sight appeal goes to the research project. The walkers will be accompanied by sighted guides. This will be a sponsored walk, and walkers will raise money for the RP Fighting Blindness.
