Hampshire Roamability - Accessible Scooter Ramble

Author: Walking Festival, Dated: 12/07/2010

We are delighted to be working alongside Hampshire Roamability for the forthcoming October Walking Weekend. Having visited the Isle of Wight in May to take part in some of our more accessible walks, they have decided to organise an "Accessible Scooter Ramble" for October.  This walk will take scooter users off road, and enable users to enjoy the beautiful Isle of Wight Countryside - taking in fields and breathtaking views, rather than utilising tarmac.

The walk has been tried and tested and will prove to be a very popular walk with scooter users, which will be the first of many and be repeated in May 2011.

Walk starts form Yarmouth, following the river to Freshwater, returning via Afton Down and Freshwater Trail.  Includes Inauguration Ceremony of East Access Yar Estuary Trail at Kings Manor Farm.
